My guess is that you will need bigger jets when you get your jugs ported.

As for what fmf recommends, my fatties came with 260 main jets and Im running

340's right now and my jugs are stock. Pretty far from what they recommend. Whom ever you get porting from should be able to suggest what kind of jets to start off with. :shrugani:

Temp and elevation are also factors to figure in on your jetting.

I ran 280 with lid and stock motor, so I would say you'll need bigger like in the 320 range with k&n and no lid, port work. But elevation, temp, and all the mods you do added up will be the info that will get you the most help.

Your builder doing the port work will be your best person to ask.

At sea level in temps ranging from 55-75 with the mods in my sig :

310 mains

27.5 pilot

stock needle position.

Bike ran flawless.

FMF's seem to love the needle in the 4th position (one slot towards the pointy end from where yours is now). With jetting its always better to start rich and go down from there. If you get it ported, talk to whoever does your porting about the jetting. If you stay stock, then I'd start with a 310 or 320, but that's without knowing your elevation or temperature. Porting runs anywhere from $200-$600.
