BANSHEE H Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 I bought this 05 S.E. Banshee and it seemed to run fine the first couple of times out however this time out I noticed the bike now is making a popping sound from the exhaust and want's to die instead of hold an idle after it's warmed up. I've never incountered this issue before and I'm wondering if it's a jetting issue. The bike is bone stock. When I'm ridding it it's makes a pop- pop- pop- pop type sound and then when I put it nutural the bike dies and won't hold an idle. At one point after it was warmed up and I hade ridden it for a while I shut it down then when I went to start two minutes later it it would't start until I pulled out the choke. If anyone has any ideas please let me know. Quote
ellison445 Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Sounds Like you have a air leak somplace Get yourself a can of carb cleaner, start the bike and spray carb boots, reeds, Intakes and jugs. If she revs up High, thats your leak. Good luck and welcome to the HQ I bought this 05 S.E. Wallrat Posted February 8, 2006 Report Posted February 8, 2006 Or it could just be running leaner due to colder temps. Check for an airleak first, if you don't find one, dial in your airscrews 1/2 turn or so, then maybe go up on the main jet a size or 2. What jets are u running? What's the temp there? What mods? What elevation? Quote
