banshee223 Posted February 5, 2006 Report Posted February 5, 2006 I'm replaceing my sprockets and chain and I was wondering if I should get steel or alloy sprockets, I think I have heard that alloy sprockets don't last very long at all? Any info would help, thanks. Quote

The 7075 is used for strength not necessarily wearability. But, if you keep your chain clean, don't use WD40 on it because that will attract dirt which will only accelerate the wear on your sprockets, an aluminum sprocket will last a while. Quote
BigRed350x Posted February 6, 2006 Report Posted February 6, 2006 I just run the cheap steel ones from RMATV and they last about 9 to 10 months, and I try to ride every wheekend. Quote
