Ls7colorado Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 i was riding for about 3 hours yester and the bike ran flawless (other than the tranny not wanting to shift/shifting hard), but all the sudden I get on it today and after it warms up if i punch it from idle it will jsut die. Or if im rolling slow at a very low rpm and punch it it will bogg down and then go, almost like its flooding out? What would cause this all the sudden? Temps are the same. Quote
brydon_hilder Posted January 27, 2006 Report Posted January 27, 2006 (edited) It sounds to me like you need to change your spark plugs, and there also may be dirt in your carborator. You also might have a clog in your muffler. Your Air Filter also may be very dirty or have moisture in it. Oh ya, is your Banshee 100% stock? Edited January 28, 2006 by brydon_hilder Quote
Ls7colorado Posted January 28, 2006 Author Report Posted January 28, 2006 moisture..... thats funny cuz i presurewashed it after I got done riding..... Ill check the plugs too, thanks Quote
Hilarious Posted January 28, 2006 Report Posted January 28, 2006 Do you still have the TORS units still on your carbs? Unplug the wires on em, if they are there and see what that does. Quote

Depending on how much water you may have got in there it may clean out, or you may need to take the carbs off and clean them up. But my money is on the moisture. Quote
Ls7colorado Posted January 28, 2006 Author Report Posted January 28, 2006 well its pooring down rain now so ill have to see tomarow maybe. I do still have the TORS, ill try unpluging it. Quote
Ls7colorado Posted January 29, 2006 Author Report Posted January 29, 2006 I unplugged the TORS and it still did it, only thing differnt is it wouldnt idle with it removed. Plugs look fine, air filter is clean......... it just bogs and will die if it is below maybe 3000rpm? But it will idle fine with the tors hooked up. Quote

Ls7colorado Posted January 30, 2006 Author Report Posted January 30, 2006 I wouldnt think it would be an ignition problem, Could be wrong though. It idles fine but has a hard time going from off idle to say 3000rpm, then after that it will fly. All I did was unhooked both the TORS, ill try unpluging the control box. Should this still cause it not to idle? Quote

You have a lean condition. Where do your air screws like to be at? .5 turn out or 2.5 turns out? Quote
