1996yfs200 Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 hey guys i need some help figuring out how to get started racing. i live in eastern va, and just need a little info on how to get started. thanks Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted January 24, 2006 Report Posted January 24, 2006 I'm not too sure about your local tracks. But when I started I just showed up to the track a couple hours early to get all the paperwork out of the way. Try to find out if the track you plan on starting at has a website with some sort of info or contacts. As long as you're 18, you shouldn't haven't any trouble doing what I did. Bring plenty of dough for membership fees . Quote
1996yfs200 Posted January 24, 2006 Author Report Posted January 24, 2006 damit, im only 17 but will be 18 in like 3 months. if i bring my mom and she like signs a waiver or something would i be alright? Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted January 25, 2006 Report Posted January 25, 2006 Well it's sounds like you'll be 18 by the time season starts. But yeah, you can have you parents sign everything for you if you're not...at least here you can. Quote
1996yfs200 Posted January 25, 2006 Author Report Posted January 25, 2006 alright, cool thanks for the help Quote
fastbanshee4u Posted January 26, 2006 Report Posted January 26, 2006 Find places to practice first. Some tracks have a practice night. You dont have to do triples to be fast.Just be patient and watch, and follow better riders. Most importantly have the right set up and maintain your machine. Quote
