crazywheelerman365 Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 I've been ridin for years and have never busted a case yet , but I have a friend that busted his case just behind the kick starter! I've been told over the years that a hard tumbble backwards will somehow bust the case and its linked to the idler gear? MY guy at the shop confirmed this and said you can remove a tooth on some gear to cure the problem ? what gear ? and is this true ? Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 my brother did that on his bike one time. bike ended uprollin backwards down a hill breakin that gear into about 5 pieces. he didnt break his case tho.i think its kind of a freak occurance. thats the only time its ever happened to one of us and hasnt happened since. i dont hear too much about it on hq i know that... rebelbanshee2 Posted January 10, 2006 Report Posted January 10, 2006 I crashed my banshee hard and the idler gear lost a tooth and it blew the little gear on the back of the basket in half. It wasnt backwards, just and end over ender. Quote
