sandslinger Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 I BOUGHT A 10 MIL STROKER THAT NEEDS AN IGNITION SYSTEM ON IT. THE BIKE I'M PUTTING THE MOTOR INTO HAS A PACKARD 370 IN IT WITH A PVL IGNITION. I WANTED TO PUT THE PVL SYSTEM ON THE 10 MIL BUT WHEN I TRIED TO FIND OUT MORE ON THE PVL A DEALER WEBSITE SAID THEY WERE NOT RECOMENDED FOR STROKER MOTORS. ANY IDEAS WHY? I DON'T SEE WHY THE IGNITION WOULD CARE IF IT WAS ON A STOCK CRANK OR STROKER. Quote
blueshee03 Posted January 7, 2006 Report Posted January 7, 2006 use the pvl on it.it will work ok.every one i know that runs a stroker runs a pvl ignition.a stroker can sometimes be harder to start with a pvl.i'm pretty sure i saw somewhere that the company is now saying its ok to use the pvl with stroker setups.
