Throttle calble without TORS

Will the stock thumb throttle cable work with a carb setup without the TORS? I have a twist throttle on now and want to put a thumb throttle on.

no it will not. call vitos and get a thumb throttle cable for the tors removal kit.the whole cable and tors eliminator kit will cost 50 bucks.the cable is prolly only 25 bucks.

I got a cable from motion pro at the local Yam dealer. it came with new polished lids. I put RZ carbs on and the original cable wouldnt work but they told me that the new cable was for getting rid of tors

This question is similar, but slightly different, does anyone know if the std. Twist Throttle cable that elliminates TORS, will work on the stock Thumb throttle? I have twist throttle (without TORS) now and want to go back to Thumb, and just curious if I can just swap the twist with the thumb and keep the new twist cable I currently have, or if I need to get a thumb cable without TORS?

The answer to your question is still no. The twist throttle and the thumb throttle are going to use two different throttle cables.
