blindrider_2001 Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 (edited) I have stock pipes and I'm selling them soon. I need to know how to clean the stock pipes good and get all the rust stuff off of it. Here is a picture of it. Telling me how to clean the motor better would also be appreciated, I wash it after every ride but wherw we ride its just sand so it doesnt come off too good I guess. blindrider_2001 Posted January 6, 2006 Author Report Posted January 6, 2006 what about the motor? My dad baught a steamer and was wondering if this would be a good idea to clean the motor. from the pic I sent..you can tell its pretty dirty and its not more than a couple months old. Quote
BigRed350x Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 Carb cleaner works great on motor grime. I wouldn't bother cleaning up the stock pipes. Get rid of them and get some aftermarket pipes, you will notice a big difference. You can't sell the stockers to anyone either, they are total crap. It's not worth your time to clean them. Quote
mybadbanshee Posted January 6, 2006 Report Posted January 6, 2006 by steamer do you mean a hot water pressure washer?if so yes its safe to wash your motor with that as long as you dry it with high pressure air after.just try not to focus your cleaning around the plugs or carbs.and be sure to grease your machine after.
