dadudeinbiloxi Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) Hey guys, I have stock banshee with fmf gnarlys/turbine core2's coming and k&n clamp ons all stock in biloxi, mississippi, I think my elevation is 33ft/10m?.. is 350 mains correct(it's what I gathered about from the jetting faq)? Also gargamel told me not to waste my money on a jet kit and get just the jets. Where can I buy just the jets online? thanks in advance. Edited December 7, 2005 by dadudeinbiloxi Quote
Hilarious Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Magicracing.com or Dennis Kirk. Magic has the jets separate and dennis kirk has them in pairs. 350 sounds like it may be a good starting point. You may need to get some smaller jets too. On down to say 320 or so for when it starts warmin' up outside. Quote

Or do I just need mains? Quote
Hilarious Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 Fmf recommends a 30 pilot. I got 30's and they made my idle circuit rich. Right now I'm runnin 27.5's. My bike starts usually 2 to 4 kicks, if the carb bowls arent dry and will sit and idle a long while w/o turnin the plugs black. I'd get some 27.5's and adjust your air screws, starting 2 turns out, until u have a crisp off throttle response. If you havent already, get several sets of spark plugs too. Cause your gonna need to do a plug chop or too. Quote
dadudeinbiloxi Posted December 7, 2005 Author Report Posted December 7, 2005 (edited) I'll go with the 320 and 27.5 then sounds like about right. Do I need that main jet wrench I see on magicracing.com for the main jets too? For installation? I want to make sure. Screw it I got it anyways just to be safe. Ok.I'm broke for now. I think that covers me though... Edited December 7, 2005 by dadudeinbiloxi Quote
Hilarious Posted December 7, 2005 Report Posted December 7, 2005 All you need is a phillips head screw driver and a 6mm socket to change your mains. To get to the pilot, you'll need like one of those small flat head screwdrivers like what comes in an eyeglass repair kit or what not. Quote

I should have pics up next week. Quote
Banchetta Posted December 11, 2005 Report Posted December 11, 2005 I'd start w/ a 290 main, stock pilot, needle 4th clip and go from there. Fmf recommendations are way off. Quote
