Meat Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 With all the clutch talk lately, I thought I'd ask this...... The new GSXR's and R1\R6 come with these new exoctic "slipper clutches" dirived from MotoGP bikes...... Can someone school me on WTF a slipper clutch is ??? danka Quote
locogato11283 Posted December 1, 2005 Report Posted December 1, 2005 i believe that its when you are going fast and drop to a lower gear. instead of the bike going into a skid, the clutch slips and allows the tire to keep turning.. Quote

Also found that they're not really a two-stroke item, they're for controlling 4-stroke engine braking. Guess this thread is kinda irrelevant on a 2 stroke forum. Oh well... alteast I learned something new tonight Quote
