Ggerg1186 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 (edited) Alright here is the skinny: I traded my gmc 4x4 for this banshee a couple of weeks ago. It has fmf pipes and silencers. The intake box has been removed and it has exposed K&N Air Filters. It has aftermarket aluminum nerf bars with nets, and the tires are near new condition. Plastic is in great shape for its age with no cracks or deep scratches. I made the trade because I wasn't driving my truck anymore (too expensive when I can tow my dirtbike behind the minivan on a trailer) and I figured it would be a fun toy for my wife to putter around on when she doesn't feel like riding her dirtbike... Well, let's just say I had no clue. Absolutely no clue. I now know why banshees have been so popular for so long. This thing is the craziest thing I have ever ridden on! I've ridden big Harley's, fast sportbikes, 250cc two stroke dirtbikes and anything else I have gotten my hands on and have never experienced so much excitement in a small package. I scared the shit out myself when I took off down a paved road in fifth gear and twisted the throttle...front end came up faster than any motorcycle I have ever ridden. This thing tears sod out of the ground better than most old John Deere tractors. Make a long story short, I don't really want to hand the key of this thing to the mother of my children. The smile on my face after my first ride told her she didn't want anything to do with it. I told her I was selling my truck to get her a toy and I can have enough fun on a blaster to keep me occupied. (i've ridden blasters, fun little quads) Besides the winter time I would be riding my dirtbike anyways. Nothing against quads, I just like my dr400. Finally, I introduced my wife to the motorcycling world and I would hate for her to quit riding because I gave her something that was too much to handle. (I know it's her choice, but I just don't think that 3 years of riding experience is enough for a banshee) And if next fall she says she wants more, I'd be more than happy to buy a banshee to compliment a blaster. So, if you have a Yamaha Blaster or a Polaris Trailblazer and you would like to upgrade to the next level, I am willing to make an even trade. Bike comes with a manual. The only thing I can see wrong with the bike is the intake manifolds will need to be replaced soon. Please keep in mind that i will be perfectly happy keeping this thing and just buying a blaster this spring when i can afford it....so serious offers only please. Pictures will be posted asap. the bike is currently in Grand Rapids MI. (At my parents house, I live in metro detroit, the quad can be picked up at either location) I may be willing to deliver for a negotiable fee. Ggerg1186 Posted November 23, 2005 Author Report Posted November 23, 2005 Let me get some pictures put up and we can haggle a bit. I have a price in mind based on the other 87 Banshees I've seen. This one isn't the fastest on the list, but its motor is pretty strong and the plastic is in good shape. The seat has no tears. I know that FMF pipes cost more than a couple hundred dollars. It has a twist grip throttle and like I mention the tires and rims are in great condition. Only potential problem is the carb manifolds are weathered and will need to be replaced soon. I have tested them and they don't seem to leak yet. What price do you have in mind? Email me [email protected] Quote

Ggerg1186 Posted November 26, 2005 Author Report Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) Here are some pictures for ya'll I didn't wash it, it isn't very dirty and i figured the dirt would help contrast the snow background. There are ver few little scratches, no big scratches, and the plastic is still glossy. Pictures can now be seen at: http://photobucket.com/albums/y191/Ggerg1186/Banshee/ Edited December 6, 2005 by Ggerg1186 Quote
