  1. Lol! in that pic I was only going about 2mph. The rear tires may have been going 20. It was a 'canned' picture. The camera caught the flying chunks well and made it look like I was going fast. In reality I couldn't get enough traction in the snow. Don't worry, I ride street and dirt, and a helmet is my first priority. Especially if I were to start pushing my banshee towards its limits.
  2. 1987 Banshee 35mm Keihin Carbs Pro Design Boost Bottle K&N Exposed Air filters (no air box) FMF Gnarly Pipes FMF Turbine Core II Arrestors Aluminum Rims Good knobbies (90% tread remaining) Great Plastic: No scratches, Fading, or Cracks. Still glossy Pulls power wheelies without the clutch in 6th gear around 70 mph Good compression Starts with the third or fourth kick Not the fastest Banshee alive, but this thing can smoke my dr400 and my friends yz250. Great low end torque, whiplash powerband, and a redline somewhere in the stratosphere. $2200 Pictures available at: http://photobucket.com/albums/y191/Ggerg1186/Banshee/ Best way to contact me is via email at [email protected]
  3. Well, I think I found their website, http://www.qande.com/pd/index.html , I will call them tommorrow and see if I can find a supplier for their intake manifolds.
  4. I think the thing runs fine. Just don't want to blow the motor. Prefer to spend 60 bucks as opposed to 200 eh?
  5. Hey Ya'll, My 87 banshee has a pro design intake system with a boost bottle on it. The rubber intake manifolds are cracking. I have not found the intake manifolds for sale seperately from the rest of the system. Can I buy just the rubber intake manifolds without the reed cages and bottle? Does anyone have a link to the pro design website so I can figure out where to get these parts? Thanks Ya'll Greg
  6. I just rode this thing again, down the street, remembered my helmet this time....Only time I realized the front tires weren't on the ground was when I let off of the gas. More I ride this thing the mroe I want to keep it and buy something smaller. Price is now $2200 FIRM. Trades are still possible. If you want to trade you must: Email me your name Your trade Pictures of your trade Your location [email protected]
  7. Here are some pictures for ya'll I didn't wash it, it isn't very dirty and i figured the dirt would help contrast the snow background. There are ver few little scratches, no big scratches, and the plastic is still glossy. Pictures can now be seen at: http://photobucket.com/albums/y191/Ggerg1186/Banshee/
  8. Good morning, Happy Thanksgiving! Cash price is $2200. I still wouldn't mind a trail blazer. Delivery is available for a negotiable price. Greg
  9. My best friend has family in PA, he goes out there all the time. In fact, he should be out there this weekend. I think he is flying though.
  10. Good Lawd! The combustion chamber is bigger than the transimssion! AND IT'S a TWO STROKE! I wish I had time to play with something like that.
  11. You have a pm, give me a call on my cell phone 9am - 9pm EST.
  12. Let me get some pictures put up and we can haggle a bit. I have a price in mind based on the other 87 Banshees I've seen. This one isn't the fastest on the list, but its motor is pretty strong and the plastic is in good shape. The seat has no tears. I know that FMF pipes cost more than a couple hundred dollars. It has a twist grip throttle and like I mention the tires and rims are in great condition. Only potential problem is the carb manifolds are weathered and will need to be replaced soon. I have tested them and they don't seem to leak yet. What price do you have in mind? Email me [email protected]
  13. Alright here is the skinny: I traded my gmc 4x4 for this banshee a couple of weeks ago. It has fmf pipes and silencers. The intake box has been removed and it has exposed K&N Air Filters. It has aftermarket aluminum nerf bars with nets, and the tires are near new condition. Plastic is in great shape for its age with no cracks or deep scratches. I made the trade because I wasn't driving my truck anymore (too expensive when I can tow my dirtbike behind the minivan on a trailer) and I figured it would be a fun toy for my wife to putter around on when she doesn't feel like riding her dirtbike... Well, let's just say I had no clue. Absolutely no clue. I now know why banshees have been so popular for so long. This thing is the craziest thing I have ever ridden on! I've ridden big Harley's, fast sportbikes, 250cc two stroke dirtbikes and anything else I have gotten my hands on and have never experienced so much excitement in a small package. I scared the shit out myself when I took off down a paved road in fifth gear and twisted the throttle...front end came up faster than any motorcycle I have ever ridden. This thing tears sod out of the ground better than most old John Deere tractors. Make a long story short, I don't really want to hand the key of this thing to the mother of my children. The smile on my face after my first ride told her she didn't want anything to do with it. I told her I was selling my truck to get her a toy and I can have enough fun on a blaster to keep me occupied. (i've ridden blasters, fun little quads) Besides the winter time I would be riding my dirtbike anyways. Nothing against quads, I just like my dr400. Finally, I introduced my wife to the motorcycling world and I would hate for her to quit riding because I gave her something that was too much to handle. (I know it's her choice, but I just don't think that 3 years of riding experience is enough for a banshee) And if next fall she says she wants more, I'd be more than happy to buy a banshee to compliment a blaster. So, if you have a Yamaha Blaster or a Polaris Trailblazer and you would like to upgrade to the next level, I am willing to make an even trade. Bike comes with a manual. The only thing I can see wrong with the bike is the intake manifolds will need to be replaced soon. Please keep in mind that i will be perfectly happy keeping this thing and just buying a blaster this spring when i can afford it....so serious offers only please. Pictures will be posted asap. the bike is currently in Grand Rapids MI. (At my parents house, I live in metro detroit, the quad can be picked up at either location) I may be willing to deliver for a negotiable fee. Best way to contact me is [email protected]
