Bettler Banshee Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I was practicing flat track the other day and my banshee just died... It seemed as if i hit the run button off however it wasnt the case.... I kicked, kicked and kicked and it didnt turn over.... This has never happened... What could it be?? Spark Plug wires? Or something else? The plugs seemed fine! SNOW IS COMING SOON AND I NEED IT!!! Quote
Banshee~ Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I know it sounds silly, but did you check the gas? Quote
stclark816 Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 Sounds like something electrical to me if it just died for no reason. Check your plugs and all your connections. Also check the gas. Quote
Cotton eyed Joe Posted November 22, 2005 Report Posted November 22, 2005 I'm with STCLARK on this one. Check for a shorted out wire near an exhaust pipe or stinger/silencer. Had something similar happen to me at the dunes once, and it was part of my harness. It had come in contact with the stinger and chaffed/melted then shorted one wire. Once I rerouted it, changed the soaking wet plugs for fresh plugs it started right up. Quote
13th Grave Posted November 23, 2005 Report Posted November 23, 2005 CDI box or coil could be bad, that's whats wrong with mine.Take an ohm meter I think and test them. Quote
FIRST BANSHEE Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 have you checked for spark...check your wiring also Quote
dadudeinbiloxi Posted November 26, 2005 Report Posted November 26, 2005 (edited) easy.. if you get no spark it's electrical an electrical problem. If you do.. well then electrical is not the case. I always now start off to see if I have spark, if not, i move onto the engine, etc. You can check all electrical except cdi box with an ohm meter. Here is a break down of the entire banshee electrical system, wire testing, etc. I read it and pretty much know the entire electrical system thanks to it. Now I just gotta learn the engine and i'll be good. anyways.. good luck I need to start reading my clymers for the engine ohm numbers and and all you would need to fix anything electrical here hope it helps, later - http://www.dfn.com/benkaren/elecfaq.html Edited November 26, 2005 by dadudeinbiloxi Quote
