Quadracer18 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Alright, im not new to riding, ive done a few races but now im getting into it serious. I dont have the money for a 450r. i just bought a banshee with some motor mods but now i have to get suspension and such all setup before the season starts in late january. The bike already has: -Cool head -V-force reed valves -FMF fatty pipes with turbine core silencers -boost bottle -FMF advanced cdi -K&N with outerwears -Razr Holeshots -DG nerfs -Kill switch -renthal bars -front and rear DG alloy series bumper/grab bar Now what type of suspension and such do i need to get to become competitive on the track... cheaper stuff that gets the job done. thanks to all the replies Quote
ellison445 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 Cut your swinger -2 and some YFZ 450 shocks...about 300 bucks there! Quote
PUSH THE THROTTLE Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 -Razr Holeshots 438176 -2 swinger, +4 axle, +2+1 arms and decent shocks (Elka, TCS...) and you'll be rolling. Quote
ellison445 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I think he is looking for a cheaper way Or am I wrong? -2 swinger, +4 axle, +2+1 arms and decent shocks (Elka, TCS...) and you'll be rolling. 438187 Quote

ellison445 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 True!!! no point in half assing, that setup is the goal. 438201 Quote

Like new front shocks and then deciding to run +2 arms... Quote
Quadracer18 Posted November 17, 2005 Author Report Posted November 17, 2005 Therear shocks are pretty decent so i wont need to replace that until everything else is done right? Also how good do yfz shocks feel? Are they fine to use with +2 arms without revalving or anything, and do they mount up... soryy, for some reason it wont alow me to use the search button, so ill just ask, thanks for all the replies and keep em coming Quote

Can't tell you anything about the yfz shocks somebody else can chime in on those. And since I haven't posted it for awhile... Quote
