99Banshee Posted November 15, 2005 Report Posted November 15, 2005 (edited) Whats up.. Need anouther opinion, I bought the trinity IV manifolds and I was liiking at the inside of them where the rubber boot is that goes over your carb.. well anyway there is a lip on the bottom, right next to the boot on eash manifold. Looks like it would cuase the gas to build up.. was thinking about porting it down so the whole thing will flow nice, I can port and polich thats easy but needed some edvise to see if anyone else had this proplem or are they best like that..? ellison445 Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I think you should leave it alone Quote
pimpeinkc Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 does the lip stick out into the id of the carb. if you put the carb on it, and lift the slide, do you see the lip? the lip is there i am sure to keep your carb from falling in, so i would leave it unless it is in the way of the inlet. just my .02 Quote
hittintrees srh Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I would'nt mess with it unless it dissrupts your air flow-knowing trinity, you might want to.IMO Quote
23champ Posted November 17, 2005 Report Posted November 17, 2005 I think the" LIP" your reffering to is the same ID as the carbs ID. That lip is there to keep from having a disturbance of air flow Quote
