GleasmJA Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 A quick question for all the technical poeple here. I have a '94 shee that i bought wrecked. Put some parts on on it and had i going again. My persistent problem is that the front tires don't sit parallel to the ground. Now that it was wrecked it thought swinger or a-arms bent? No problem, bought a round style swinger, then got OEM a-arms. Still the same problem. Now the only thing i can think is that the frame is tweaked just enought that the fronts won't sit right. If anyone can think of something else to look at that i hven't thought of yet would be great. Thanks for the help in advance. Quote
batoutofshell Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 bad shocks or bent frame, new tierods will not help with the tilt either. Quote
dawarriorman Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 (edited) Could be the spindle. I have one tire that does the same thing (surprisingly its the same side my avatar came from ) . You could either buy a new one for $230, or just buy some new a-arms, and set the camber on each wheel so they end up right. Or it could be the frame, but either way, with camber adjustable a-arms, you can fix it. Edited November 10, 2005 by dawarriorman Quote
GleasmJA Posted November 10, 2005 Author Report Posted November 10, 2005 Thanks for the help. I have a new frame and arms so the problem is going to be fixed this winter during downtime. What shoudl the chamber be set for? Is there a specific setting or just parallel to the ground? Thanks for the help and your time. Quote
