macgillivary Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 (edited) alright so i started pulling pieces off the bike today, had a broken o ring to fix, it was leakin coolant, so i decided im gonna take my cylinders off to get ported too anyways when i pulled the head off, the outer portion of the domes like where the coolant is, closest to the exhaust side was black, the part of the dome thats on the motor looked fine, a goldenish color, what would cause this? my bike was a bit lean lately, maybe it got hot? it never went up over 200 degrees though thanks Edited October 28, 2005 by macgillivary Quote
fast500#12 Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 sounds like the oring on the dome was bad to me. Quote
macgillivary Posted October 28, 2005 Author Report Posted October 28, 2005 im thinkin so, the orings arent split but it kinda looks like oil although i had kicked it with my rad cap off before i pulled it all apart and no bubbles Quote
