Traprider369 Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Intalled cool head on my shee. Put me right into my seat for bout 3 min round the track, then fell apart. Nice ploom o smoke and decided not to run unless I let it sit for bout 20 min. Then it would run, but not good enough to ride. After stared have to wait another 20 min to start again. Trying to put my finger on the prob. O-rings on head still good. Thinkin a fuel issue. Running premium gas at 32:1 castor 927. Bout 4500 feet in NM. Ran like a champ before the head was installed. watkins Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 (edited) Is your oil milky? Have you done a compression check? You could be leaking coolant into the motor... is your coolant level lower than usual? If that is the issue then fix the problem and make sure you change your oil. sheecandy Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 use grease on the orings so when you assemble the head together the orings stay in there grooves Quote
sand rocket Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 i would dump the gas. Put some new gas in it. I had a similar problem with water in my gas. Quote
boonman Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Did you pull the head to be sure? What is the compression? Try kicking it over with the radiator cap off. If you get a faceful of coolant, you know you slipped an o-ring. You could have sucked a crank seal, but it would be really smoky out of the right pipe, and smell like you were grilling month old gym socks..... Quote
