i have no idea as to what make sure it has good ground means

The electrical system need to be "grounded", this is done by a ground wire in your wiring harness, this ground wire bolts to your frame and grounds the system. The ground wire is attached at the rear of the quad, near the CDI box. I think that's where its located on a stock wiring harness, my harness has been cut and the ground wire doesnt attache in the stock position anymore. Anyways..... find the ground wire where it bolts to the frame and make sure there's no rust around anywhere, make sure the ground wire aint cracked up and inspect the connector that attaches the ground wire to the frame. Might be a good idea to clean the metal where the ground wire bolt goes.

Was your stator removed ?

Do you know what the "pickup coil" is and if it has been moved ??

Do you have the TORS on your carburetors ??

Did you try new sparkplugs, NGK B8ES gapped at .028-.031

Inspect things like the handlebar mounted on\off switch and the key switch.

It could definitely be the ground... but I would also check the gap between the flywheel and the pickup. My factory gap was set at .032", Ricky Stator says to go as tight as you can, but no tighter than .020". Both of these are quick checks, and will probably find the problem. Plugs don't usually just go bad, but I guess it's possible.

my stator has never been removed. i do have the tors on the stock carbs, also i flipped my quad over a while back and it did the same thing but then i poped the ignition and glued it so i wudnt need a key and it started right up but i dont thinnk this is the problem here. i had my friend pull my banshee down the street with his car and tried bumping it for like 10 minutes

The ground wire on my shee was broke for a long time ( I think), i noticed it one day when i was messing with the tail light. it had never affected the electrical system or compoents.

the ground goes through the bolt that holds the voltage regulator on its the little square silver box
