a black wire is usally your ground wire. unless someone has rewired it.

Make Sure the gap between the flywheel and the pickup is set correctly. maybe the plugs went bad. try replacing them and check for spark then. and as said already check all connections and grounds.

when i did a fresh rebuild my right side did that. It stopped after a couple of heat cycles. Rings had to seat. no wit is fine . What i did was a couple of high speed passes. shut it down, let it cool off and did it all over again. now ever thing seems to be fine.

do you know if that oil has Detergent in it? might sound dumb but some tranny fluids have a detergent made in them. water in the fluid will change the color all the time nut just when it heats up. sounds to me like it is the fluid. try runnin just plain type -f tranny fluid. or get maxium with clutch saver. good oil just a lil pricey.

sounds like a compression issue. 100 is kinda low. did you switch plug wires around to see if it ran the same?

i dont thing you would have to rejet. but you will prolly need to run higher octane gas.

they tend to do that when going down hill. just relocate your bottle to the front and rerun your hoses. I got rid of mine all together. just need to check water level more often.

the air gap is between the picup coil an the flywheel. yes you need to remove the flywheel. and to adjust the timming line up the marks on the plate to where the case splits. you should be able to see a thin line. then just set it at what advancement you want, then tighten down.

i just got the ricky stator with timing plate and have had no probs. they even sent it out fast. ordered it on a monday and got it that tuesday. maybe the pickup coil wasnt gapped right and that is why it didnt work. hope you have better lick with them in the future..

check your compression. also check and see if you are getting spark. The gap on the flywheel to the generator should be .0010. did you try to push/pull start it?

got to the local automotive paint supplier and ask for SEM bumper stripper it comes in spray cans bout 5-6 bucks a can might need 2 cans. make sure you rinse real well with water when done. also dont forget after you strip your plastics to use hot soapy water to sand with. any more questions pm me. i have painted many banshee bodys over the years. i aslo was a auto painter for 5 years but gave it up. my body wasnt taking kindly to the chemicals.
