Guest nightmare Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Does anybody know if the chrome 55 watt lights they are selling on ebay for 24.99 are any good? Will they work with a stock stator? I don't want something that will cook my stator. Quote
Bansh88 Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 stock stator will only run 2 35s. I've asked the same Q. Unless they are name brand, i'd stay away from them. Quote
Bansh88 Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Oh ya. The lights are totally replaceable with different wattages. A set off 55 can have 35s put in or vice versa Quote
Justintoxicated Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Other than HID the best you can run off stock stator is 35 watt OSRAM IR Bulbs, they will put out the same light output as a 50 watt Halogen MR16. A little expensive but much brighter then typical Halogens since they Turn some of the energy normaly released as IR power, back into light energy. Not HID eficiency but better than typical Halogen. You probably need to contact Osram Sylvania about these bulbs to attain them. Quote
Shee-Male Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 you can use the 55's they just wont be any brighter Quote

Guest nightmare Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Are the osram bulbs direct replacments for the halogens, and how expensive are they? I don't really need anything more than stock, just thought theese were pretty cheap. I would actually prefer some stock banshee lights I just can't find any cheap enough that aren't all busted up.
