BansheeCJ3 Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Get toomey T-5's, V-force reeds, and some sort off air filter. Quote
Big Blue Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Keep the pt's get it ported somewhere you feel comforable with, cool head with smaller domes, I personally would go with suspension mods after doing the motor. Put on a decent set of shock and maybe even a arms and it will be a totaly different bike. Quote
bansheefreestyler Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 wel man are your pipes the hi revs or the mids? do nyou have the silencers with them? and what year are they? cause i would possibly be willing to trade you my fatties with powercore 2 silencers for them if there not toooooo old and not bad of cond Quote

bansheefreestyler Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 so would you consider trading or what? what year are they do you know? and are there any dents or anything? Quote

Call up Eric Gorr, I've heard great things about his woods port and I think it's only $250. Keep the PT's, get you a pair of 30mm carbs. Get a Noss head with 20cc domes and some suspension and you'll be really surprised with the difference. If low end is what you want, only two pipes really come to mind....Dynoport 2 into 1 and the PT mids. Quote
sp1tekiller Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 FMF Gnarly comes to my mind. Quote
Gargamel Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 The 2n1 pipe is ok, they sound killer but you'll get better performance out of the Gnarly. I had both. The gnarly is a great woods pipe imo. Yea and the Gorr port sounds like a killer deal, and my next mod. reeds, after that suspension. Quote
Banshee17Racing Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I would really consider giving Eric Gorr a call. I love my portjob, and would go back to him again. The whole pipe issue is kind of a personal preference. Do you wanna keep any type of top end?...then don't get a 2 into 1 pipe. Suspension is really the biggest problem with the 'shee. It just plain sucks. I had works triple rates w/rezzies for 2 years and thought they kicked ass. UNTIL I actually dropped some coin and got +2+1's, Axcalibur axle, and TCS shocks w/ a TCS rebuilt rear stocker. It's now a completely different bike. I would re-think the +3+1 a-arms. The way it sounds, you still want to be pretty nimble through the woods. I personally wouldn't want to drag +3+1 a-arms through tight woods. You'd be suprised how much more you can use your motor after improving your suspension. Quote
sycoracer911 Posted September 28, 2005 Author Report Posted September 28, 2005 idk i plan on running the yfz shocks too so since the front would be lifted and bring the arms in to be narrower... i figured the +3's with no offset rims would be good.... but then again i can do a +2 with offset or something either way its the same cost....
