SANDSTAR Posted September 14, 2005 Report Posted September 14, 2005 I've had mine charging every night since they released the PS2. I think I will keep the one I have. You never know how Sony will sneak an "update" onto your hardware. They are scrambling to secure PS2s from people hacking. The first version is able to run games without a game disk in the hole. Once they get you to upgrade, you have to have a game disk in to run a game. No more game swapping for you! Quote
98bonerSTOCKshee Posted September 14, 2005 Author Report Posted September 14, 2005 the recall only affects the newslimmer models, they have external power pack. You'll only need to send the power pack in, not the PS2 console. So you won't have to worry about them changing the programing.. and if your worried about them slipping in an update, don't ever play any online game.. Quote
