AllMotor347 Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 So at first I was running with 340 mains, 30 pilots, and the vito's needle in the middle, it had a horible bog on the low and but the top end would hit real hard, So then I went to the stock 25 pilots and the needle on the second clip, and it was a little better but not much, now I am at a 310 main 25 pilot and the vitos needle at the 4th clip and its better but not very ridable at all, more advice would be greatly appreciated. My elevation is roughly 1200 ft, I have FMF Fattys, Vito's suplite pistons, FMF reeds, a pro flow filter with the lid removed, and NGK BR9ES plugs Quote
odaen Posted September 12, 2005 Report Posted September 12, 2005 (edited) That sounds pretty rich on the main. I would think at your elevation and still running the air box, you'd be in the 280 range, mebbe 290. If you are bogging in the 1/2 to 3/4 throttle area, may want to move the clip up one notch to drop the needle some to help lean this portion out. also, why are you running a BR9ES? most people i know run a B8ES Edited September 12, 2005 by odaen Quote
AllMotor347 Posted September 12, 2005 Author Report Posted September 12, 2005 aight thanks for the input ill give that a try, also do you think i should switch back to the stock needle, and also should i keep in the 25 pilot? Quote
Banchetta Posted September 15, 2005 Report Posted September 15, 2005 anyone? 414473[/snapback] Jetting should be very close, I normally have good luck w/ 290 mains, needle 4th clip from the top, stock pilots, stock needles..never tried the vito needles, but I'd try the stockers and go from there..I agree w/ the B8ES...b9's are a colder plug.
