banghead I GOT A SHEE LOWER END (CHEAP)AND I WAS TOLD THAT IS A 4MM STROKER IT HAS HOT RODS AND HAVE 121 ON ONE SIDE OF THE ROD.BUT NO PLATE AND THE PISTONS WERE VITOS AND WERE SHORTER THEN STOCK.WHAT KIND OF PISTON IS USED IN A 4MM STROKER? banghead

If the crank is still in the cases and the cyl's are off... put a ruler or something on top of the case to measure from. Then push the rod all the way down and measure how high up it is to the top of the rod. Then pull it all the way up and measure again. The diference is the length of the stroke. Stock stroke is 54mm, so +4 would be 58mm.

 

Longer rods and shorter pistons can be used with either stroke.
