BANJO Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 i thought my shee poped a piston last weekend after driving it for 1hr on its new topend.. well i poped my head ( witch was 1 bitch to take off.. dont ask..) and was waiting to see my dome all chiped to fuck and my piston in chunks.. well my pistons are fine top are black/goldesssss.. and my domes are fine... now i thought it blew.. my reasons.. was driving and reving fine..3/4 in 2nd.. then it felt like 1 side blew and sounded like the piston was bouncing back and forth..stoped the engine.. kicked it again.. right back up she went with the same sound.. like it had no spark the the piston was poped.. i cant figure out what it was.. mabe the spark plug went?? single carb pluged up.. air leak just happen??? what do you think.. i pulled the banshee apart thinking the worst.. then everything looks fine.. once again the motor seemed like 1 side wasnt sparking and the piston/ rings went.. but everything looks fine.. sorry for the long shit.... but im stomped on this 1.. i just dont want to throw it back togeather... peace devin Quote

bansheefreestyler Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 it still could be your rings. when i blew my engine the ring caught an exhasut port and totally pooched everything. (cyl,psiton,rings). it looked perfectly fine until i took my jugs off then thats when i found out. so pull the jug or jugs off whichever you think the sound came from and see Quote
Holyman Posted September 2, 2005 Report Posted September 2, 2005 The blaster with this piston in it ran great. The guy that I bought it from never knew the entire skirt broke off and the crown of the piston looked great Quote
