regulations at silver lake ?

silver lake dunes, i'm only about 5hrs away in WI , i here it's a great place to tear up but i here they are really strict about the noise level, i don't want to get all the way there and be told i have to leave because it's to loud , i've seen some heavily moded wheelers in pics that ride there and i know those are pretty loud and probably wouldn't pass regulations of i think is 96db , and they have a drag strip !! do those machines have to pass noise levels ?? i'm just kindda wondering how the hell i can get in there with out being checked for the excessive noise that my lrd yfz makes , not to mention get my project 650cc drag banshee in there with big fat whale pipes with no baffles , any of you guys have problems getting in there , or get hassled about the noise restrictions ????

OK noice may be an issue, not usually with me, but i got toomey T5's with sparky spark arrestors not drag pipes. You will need spark arrestors. Maybe adding a longer silencer with a sparky should do trick.

ok here is the real easy loop hole..... if you have a truck ur set... go into parking lot.. drop trailer, (everyone is kool and no one should mess with it ) then load up ur drag banshee, or whatever one u think would be the loudest on to your truck in the back of bed , then take truck out on the dunes ....... they wont check anything on ur banshee because ur not driving it in ... so u could get in there without any pipes on it at all if u wanted. and when ur on the dunes they dont check anything either... so just unload quad and have fun

I have a yfz450 with an hmf slip on and got sound checked...i was at 95 db...the guy testing me said they allowed up to 98 db. If you are worried about being louder than that you might want to consider taking it in the back of work truck

kindda looks like we'll have to fly under the radar with both of mine , LRD says it's about 102db opened up and i don't think that this removable screen type spark arrester is gonna quiet it down much, as for the banshee well , sounds like alot of people just truck em in .
