go to your local hard ware store and do some pricing, i would use dirt its free and if you screw it up you can always redo it again

Would is getting expensive. I just bought some 3/4" sheets of plywood ate $28 a sheet. Granted, this is much thicker than you would need but it gives you an idea of how much wood has gone up.

 

2x4x8 studs are still only about $2.50 a piece, but that starts to add up quickly.

Proly gonna go wood for the frame, put some metal braces to help it hold, then go sheetmetal for the face... not sure yet though. I'm going to go over to the new construction site soon and see if they will give me the 2x4's that they usually just burn.

I just picked up 2 4ft by 8ft sheets of 3/4" mdf, for a speaker box, each sheet was 23 bucks.

 

Wood prices soar after the hurricanes, now the price is starting to fall back down after the hurricanes from floridia
