While cleaning out my left carb I found a jet in my float bowl, There isn't one in my right float bowl....any ideas?? It was screwed in and wasn't just lying in there....

what the hell? uhhh you should probably give a better explanation, cause all carbs have a jet screwed in at the float bowl  :confused:

IN the float bowl(bottom piece of float bowl) the piece that actually comes apart from the carb. In the front part of it there are 2 holes. In one hole I looked in it and saw a jet screwed in there, it was a size 1.4. I took the right card apart and found nothing in the same hole.

Took the jet out and it definatly runs better. Not sure why it was there in the first place.

That is for the choke if im not mistaken

put that jet back in that is the choke side bowel it is supposed to be there. There are two differrent sides for the bike one with jet for choke side one without for the other

What happens if I leave it out??

I don't know never did it but its supposed to be there I beleive it regulates the fuel flow for cold engine starting when you pull the choke out,lets gas to other carb.

It ran better with that jet out? your main may be plugged if that is the case.

I went back to the original jetting from when I bought it. While I had the carbs aprt doing that I took it out. It may run the same if I put it back in with the priginal jetting. The jetting in it now is

 

Main: 290

Clip pos: 4th from top

Needle: 5N7

air screws: 2 full turns from seated
