Alright dudes, the 4th gear start was retarded, I was just tryin somethin new, and no dice. So lets just move on.

Ive called all my local engine builders and they say 130psi is ok, but with my poet and carbs, the main problem is my domes are a little small. They recommended 18cc, or even 17cc. domes.

But now my main question is, should the reed peddles be laying down flush against the cages. My right side reeds stand up about a millimeter. Does that mean I need new reeds?

Thanx for all your help guys, BHQ FOREVER!!!!

have you been running high octain gas with those domes, anything under 20cc needs higher octain,

It doesnt matter what dome size your running, it is the amount of compression you have. I think if you have over 170psi you have to run a mix. The higher you go up the lower you compression is.

hittintrees srh- I think the vforce reed cages are adjustable, but I dont know how to adjust them so that might be why its running like shit. One might be set for low end and the other high  . Also your compression sounds about right, what kind of porting and octane are you running?

If your have pipes and stock gearing, i say that's part of the problem. your focusing on the 130psi issue too much. That's enough to get the job done if need be. throw a 15 tooth front sprocket on there first and foremost.

To answer your question, Yes, you need new reeds. They should close all the way agaist the reed cage, with no gap. Prolly isnt really hurting your top end performance a whole lot tho.

Damn, you guys are GREAT!!!!!! I brought my reeds to one of my local shops and they said because my reeds werent cracked or brocken, to just flip them over. So thats what im gunna do.

As for the gearing I believe ill try the 15tooth front sprocket. See what that does.

Also the day of that race i was running a 50/50 mix of 91 and 110 octane. And I was racing on dirt (sorta loose, and sorta hard packed. You know the type).

THanx for all the help you guys, its my first bansh, so im kinda learning by doing.

If yall got any other suggestions i'd luv to hear them.

BHQ ALLL THE WAYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With the 15t front, you should not spin out as much. What kind of tires are you runing? Start out in second and just nut up, pin it and drop the clutch :headbang:

Something guys that mod their banshees should know is:The more power you put to these beast, the more gearing,tires,etc... becomes. That's just how it is.Clutches becomes a very important issue also.

When my banshee just had pipes and filters, holeshots worked fine. After it was ported,it would spin them all day long. The clutches held up fine. After I switched to shearer pipes and alcohol the barnett clutches bit the dust very quickly.I just ordered clutches from F.A.S.T.Racing.It's more than just about a built motor.
