'shee Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 I just bought a cascade innovations chain guide, but i have no idea how it goes on. Does that metal piece on the end float on top of the swingarm? Quote
Master of Faster Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Yep, the metal peg sits on top the swinger. Quote
BdBanshee Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Take the swingarm pivot bolt loose, remove, and lower the front of the swingarm. You need to remove the old metal ring that the stock roller rides on too. Then slide the Cascade slider on with the metal pin resting on or slightly above the top of the swingarm, then the cap with the seal on it goes on the end of the swingarm like before. Put the pivot bolt back in and tighten. If I remember correctly that's it, if the swingarm won't come down far enough you may have to loosen the shock linkage and remove the bolt. Quote
05bansh Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 Sounds like a pain in the ass! I just bought the cascade slider too. I think its funny how the description of it in Rocky Mountain catalog says 'easy installation' Quote
Dark Ranger Posted July 19, 2005 Report Posted July 19, 2005 It is easy! If you already have your swingarm off. Quote
