So I guess I'm gonna spend the next month and a half between races doing the RZ conversion, all in all I guess it's purty good timing, although I either gotta wait until early next month to afford my long rod crank, or tear it down and try to sell the Banshee jugs (20 over now and will need a bore to be safe), shaved & polished stock head, stock crank, and complete electrical system (Ricky Stator stock output stator, Dyna FS adjustable CDI, stock flywheel & harness).

I had considered keeping that stuff just in case I had major issues with the RZ, still plan on keeping the Banshee tranny just in case I don't like the RZ gearing, but anyway anybody think it would be a bad idea to go ahead and sell those parts? Come to think of it, I could prolly get Dan to put a fresh bore on the jugs, I wonder if I oughta do that and sell it with new pistons too? Anybody lookin' for any of this stuff right now? I'll post it in for sale when I get it apart. One last thing, anybody got a new or low-hour welded LR crank layin' around??

I wouldn't bore it out hoping to get more money for it. It's like re-carpeting a house before you sell. Sure it's cleaner but the new people are gonna hate it anyway and you never get the money out of it.

Tore it down halfway last night, the head is a paperweight now, that right side ate something, looks like mebbe a ring but the bore still looks perfect from what I can see. Spotted another crack in the swingarm while I was at it, great. If I could sell a kidney mebbe I'd powdercoat the frame while it's apart heh :shrugani:

mmmmmm thems good eatin'

When did you tear it down last, what brand were the pistons, when did you do your last comp check and what premix ratio/brand are you using, what was the color of the crown and head, what filter are you using, carb size/type & intake type? I'm interested to find out what you think caused the failure.

Might give the rest of us guys a heads up on how often to check on this stuff and which products to use.
