i was just wondering if it would be possible to mount a fan from a yzf 450 or something... do u guys think a banshee would be able to power the fan and no make the lights any weaker?

Why would you want a fan? Just weight and more electrical. I ride in the middle of summer at Glamis and have no probs with temps.

My buddy got rid of his fan on his 450.

Wow. You're in the heat.

Go with an aftermarket radiator and cool heads. It will probably do a lot more for keeping cool and probably be cheaper with a lot less headaches than rigging up a fan.

I don't know that you'd have any room between the rad and the steering stem. it could work with a hi-watt stator most likely and just use the lighting circuit and a switch. use the fan when your not using the lights, and use the lights when your not using the rad. technically, if you need the lights, it's probably night and the heat wouldn't be as bad anyway.

still, you need some room for it, maybe you could space the rad farther forward to allow more clearance in there.

i will say that a PWR or Fluidyne radiator, a Pro Design pump impeller and using 100% Engine Ice will help a lot. A Noss head, not Pro Design will flow better, but be sure not to up the compression any more than it is or you'll just be creating more heat, and lastly, make sure your jetting is dead on or it'll create heat as well.

the fan is not a bad idea, you just have to overcome a few small things.
