air mixture screws

Hey you know those air mixture screws on your carbs

I got mine set at 1 and a half turns

just curious what exactly they do

mine have fallen out before but it didnt seem like the bike was running bad or anything, just replaced them and was set to go again

so what happens if you turn them tighter or looser?

turning them in richens your air/ fuel mixture with more fuel.....turning them out leans your air/ fuel mixture with more air.....your's is probably fine at 1 1/2 turns out

Basically they fine tune your pilot jet.
