watkins Posted June 23, 2005 Report Posted June 23, 2005 (edited) I noticed when I put my rear paddles on that when i pushed the bike on a hard pack surface the rear axel would go "klunk klunk klunk"... today I took the paddles off to put my knobbys back on and just to see what was up I grabbed the right rear tire and pulled it.. it moves a little back and forth and goes "klunk klunk klunk" only this side does it.. and it doesnt move very much at all.. maybe 1-2mm... is this something to worry about? This is a new shee with maybe 10 hours on it. Heres a picture (its kinda crappy pic, but its moving just a hair) Edited June 24, 2005 by watkins Quote
Big Blue Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 either your bearings are already bad, axle is loose or that is the noise from your chain making noise from the paddles. Quote

I have my clymers here.. but it just shows how to remove it... do i just adjust the 2 nuts? Quote
watkins Posted June 25, 2005 Author Report Posted June 25, 2005 Nevermind.. i got it.. those axle nuts were realy loose... tightened em up per the book.. fixed it. Quote
Ducman Posted June 27, 2005 Report Posted June 27, 2005 The bearings are being broke in during the first few hours of use and need to be tightened after they are broke in. What you had was pretty typical for a shee, you probably shouldn't need to tighten it again for a while but keep an eye on it. Quote
