2strokesmoke Posted June 19, 2005 Report Posted June 19, 2005 hey guys i have a question i have a 96 shee with a cool head 18cc domes k&n pro flow filter it is bored 0.20 over no pipes neighbors dont like that runnin 110 octane gas he has a 2003 yz 250f the four stroke with slipe on pipe we ride at about the same skill level we race about 800 feet grass drag should he beat me his weight is 185 plus what the bike is and i am about 250 plus the shee please help me with any hole shot tricks or how to beat him probaly need pipes thanks Quote

I rode a nice xr 250 and it impressed me after riding a banshee and yz 250. I assume the xr 250 has the same kinda power as the race 250f's but i've never rode one . But you should at least get some pipes, then give him a shot, should be pretty close. Quote

But sometimes I do a little rollin burnout a couple of feet to get down to the dirt so i can get a little traction, and it usually works too . I dont usually race on the street, but i recken just sit on the gas tank, pin it, dump the clutch, and feather it when she starts comin up on ya. And as far as pipes go, most people suggest fatties, T-5's as all around, I got bill's pipes and they work great. Quote

I would try my CR250 against a hot shee. I bet one like Loco has with him, would be a great race. I will say that I beat my friend on his stage 2 Trinity Shee... Not saying that his Shee is the fastest around. But just for shits, I would like to see how a hot Shee would do against me on my CR250. A lot of that would have to depend on the rider. And I was always good at starts. That would be a fun race..... Quote
