Bansh88 Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 My buddy is working on his 02 Banshee. Toomey T5's and K&N Pods. What Needle poistion and Jet should he use for sea level riding? Quote
Brian G Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 do you have reeds? and are they stock carbs? Quote
Bansh88 Posted June 9, 2005 Author Report Posted June 9, 2005 Stock carbs and everything. Just Pipes and K&N. Quote
bigboybanshee Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 I would start with a 310 main and see how it runs. Be sure to do several plug checks to be sure he's not running lean. As far as the clip position, I'd leave it stock at first and adjust it once you have the main jet perfect...you may not need to adjust the clip position at all. Always make one jetting change at a time, so you know exactly what is doing what. i.e. change the jets, run it. If it feels good on top and the plug looks good but has a slight hesitation or sputter in the mid range, change the needle clip position and then run it. Just take it one step at a time and you'll be fine Quote
Brian G Posted June 10, 2005 Report Posted June 10, 2005 leave the needle alone and you will be between 300-330 Quote
Bansh88 Posted June 10, 2005 Author Report Posted June 10, 2005 He went with a 330 and 5th position. Started up and ran great. Maybe take the paddles off today and run it up the street. Quote
