mud91 Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 if you have the v-force 3's what setting did you use. Low or high setting. will you loose top end for low setting and will you loose bottom end for high setting? Quote
BrianEb Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 I've been wondering that same question I put in the V3s the other day and it ran like crap the powerband never wanted to kick in at all I changed my main jets to 260 from 280 and the clip in the middle just need to test it out to make sure it works well. Seemed to be running rich Quote
Ducman Posted June 8, 2005 Report Posted June 8, 2005 On the V-2's the lower tension setting will wear out the reeds much faster and is only recommended for racing applications due to it making the reeds somewhat unreliable. I don't know if its the same for the V-3's though but it seems like it would be. I think they open up much easier than the stock reeds anyway. Quote
Big Blue Posted June 9, 2005 Report Posted June 9, 2005 V-3's are adjustable? I havent looked at mine since I got them. Quote
mud91 Posted August 13, 2005 Author Report Posted August 13, 2005 So how do you adjust these reeds? According to their web site there is a high and low setting, but how? Quote
wesw Posted August 13, 2005 Report Posted August 13, 2005 the 3s are not adjustable. the 2 were low and high with flipping over the plate adn dicking with the screws. thats way the 2 had problems screws rattling out and tearing up motors as for the guy with problems raise your needle to the 4th clip and see how it runs you have to richen your jetting for the reeds Quote
