BajaShee3189 Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 I've been wondering about that too Anyone know?? Quote
05bansh Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 I dont see why you couldnt have it lightened. Quote
switchblade Posted June 3, 2005 Report Posted June 3, 2005 I dont see why you couldnt have it lightened. 377153[/snapback] To incorperate the larger maggents they made the walls of the flywheel thinner. This make lightening them very risky. It also voids any warrenty that they have. I know this first hand. I had one lightened and it only lasted about 20 hours. Granted it was on a 100+hp 485 cheetah motor but I still wouldn't try it. The perfomace you gain would not be worth the cost of a new flywheel. Quote
boonman Posted June 5, 2005 Report Posted June 5, 2005 I have lightened them. With complete success. EXCEPT, when one got sent to me, and I didn't realize it was a Ricky flywheel. It was never mentioned. That flywheel seperated. And was essentially, junk. Not as much weight can be taken off as compared to a stocker, but the flywheel is already lighter from the get go, and they end up about the same in the end.... Quote
