Ok, Here's my question. On my bike when riding in the sand, I hit the throttle and it boggs untill it cleans out. If I let off the throttle and ride slower it boggs and acts flooded through low to mid range untill I clean it out. It runs great down the strip, but low end seem's not to be there. It just seems to be flooding. Now here's what I have done. I have an agressive trail port, 19cc domes on 110 octane. timing at +4 but also have a dyna cdi that I had programmed while on the dyno. It does the bogging on all settings and on stock, so thats not the problem. TDR reeds on stock moded cages. Have 34mm mikuni tm's and Clean pod filters. My jetting looks right on my plugs, needle on second clip from top and 340 mains and I think 50 pilots The ones that come with the carbs. Could this low end flooding be caused by my air screw being adjusted wrong? or could my pilots be to big? None of the other bikes around with similar work have any problems with the pilots being to big, so I kinda rulled them out. Should I screw my air screws in or out? My compression is good, and no air leaks. It just feels like there's no low end. It seems that stock bikes have better low end. I have a hard time taking off in 2nd without killin or double clutching it. I am running 21-12-8 9 paddle extremes but have tried smaller paddles with the similar results. Some help would be appreciated so that I know what direction to go. Also thought I would add that sometimes I see fuel that has run out the exhaust. One more thing, my gearing is 13 - 42. Thanks

jettin does sound real rich.... also if you have a degree changer that will also conflict with that cdi ... i believe the cdi also advances and retards timing. i have about the same setup cept for the carbs and if my mains are around 410 and pilot at 30 i'd say drop those jets bout 5 sizes and see what she does... i almost went with some 34's and the jetting wasnt that high on them to tune. :shrugani:

pm sredish... he has had this setup and ran races on it no prob.

Dump the timing plate. You shouldn't run one with a Dyna fs.

Does it idle clean?

What happens when you pin the throttle from idle in neutral?

What pipes u running?

Ported?

Did you have this problem when you had it dynoed?

Kinda sounds like you arn't willing to ride in the powerband, the only way you can ride a modded Banshee effectively in sand.

Of course a stock Banshee has a more manageable low end. Keep your revs up and let us know how it goes.

Ok, My compression IS good in each cylinder..already checked that. Now for the timing plate, my dyna has been programmed with regards to the plate. Plugs are a dark brown, but not black with the blister mark right in the center of the bend. this is with a wide open plug check. I know that being ported you can loose some bottom end, but all the other ported bikes I have ridden are not like this. Shee runs great wide open, just boggs low to mid with take off on the strip until I get my revs up. If I put it in 2nd and rev wide open and dump the clutch, she will bog untill I clutch a little and let it rev up again and then she takes off. The rest of the way down the strip is fine cause I've got my throttle wide open. Can my air screws be maladjusted? What way should I turn them? Also it idles fine and if I pin the throttle in neutral, she revs with slight to no hesitation. Also CPI pipes.
