monday im running a 5/8 mile track and im not sure what to run for gearing. I have 80hp at the wheels with 15/41 sprockets right now. I bought a 17 tooth for the front and I am not sure what to do for the back sprocket. I was racing yesterday and someone told to run a smaller sprocket hub and 36 on the back. I need input from all half mile guys out there.

is the track banked in the corners?? if not a 17/41 may be ok. if not try to get a 39 rear sprocket if you dont want to change to a aftermarket hub. i think 17/39 or 38 will be what your going to need

Ditto on that. I ran a 17/39 for half mile with my PV shee. Good call.
