plug9992 Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Hi guys! I raced a RM125 for many years and since I've my shee, I wanted to get a twist throttle from motion pro. I removed all the Tors and electronic junk and I calibrated my throttle valves (for Idling) with the 2 screws on top of the carbs. But it's very sensitive, when I jump, I'm always hitting the throttle a little bit and sometimes It's not fun! I heard about idle screws, but you've to drill the carb body, tap it, and install them. With that setting, you're probably able to get a free play on the thwist throttle. Anybody has tryed that set-up? Do you have a recommandation or it's useless for me to buy the screws? Thanks! Quote
holeshotkid Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I personally would buy the idle kit instead of relying on the cable tention to keep the idle. It's not hard to install and your idle will be more consistant and you will be able to get some free play in the cable. Quote

Cause the kit sold by racing includes the carbs cover and I don't need them. Quote

holeshotkid Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 I found you a place that sells just the idle screw kit without the caps. Try Rocky Mountain ATV. Here is the link: http://www.rockymountainatv.com/Product_De...tv?pid=00009502 Hope this helps Quote
motohawk Posted May 16, 2005 Report Posted May 16, 2005 Make sure you have a very slight amount of slack in the throttle cable. Quote
