Bansheeman1121 Posted May 14, 2005 Report Posted May 14, 2005 I was ridin my shee on a long strip ran great got to 6th but then had to let off immeditly, so i down shfited and got to 3rd and noticed it wouldnt shift down anymore so i shifted up and it will go into 4th and thats it, i didnt hear any wierd noises and it runs awsome in 3rd and 4th but i wont shift dwon past 3rd or up past 4th any ideas?? BTW Theres 2 quarts of brand new belray 75w gear saver oil in it.. Quote

My shift shaft claw was off of my star. Only allowed 3rd and 4th gears. I bought a new shaft assembly from the stealership, and bought a modded star from Boonman on here. THe whole thing can be fixed from under the clutch cover. Took me an evening of wrenching. Good luck, and hope that helps. Quote
