racer714 Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 (edited) I have my snorkleoff at the moment with 4 pop in round filtered holes on the top of the lid. Will pulling the entire box off help much/be very noticeable? If so, how many sizes up on the main jet? I was thinking 1 probably?! thanks Edited May 12, 2005 by racer714 Quote
white trash Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 You will get about the same effect by just pulling the lid off. It tends to be pretty wet around here so an airbox is a definate plus. By just pulling the lid youll have the best of both worlds, tons of air gettng to your motor, and splash protection compliments of your airbox... just my .02 Quote
banshdog Posted May 12, 2005 Report Posted May 12, 2005 Depending on your conditions, you may not want to pull the entire thing off. Like white trash said, pulling the lid off will help. and leaving the bottom on will give you some splash protection. What ever you decide, just remember that your bike will not like water on the filters or in the carbs. the slides will stick, the bike will either bog or throttle may stick. The key to it all is to stay dry. Removing the lid will , most likely, require some jetting adjustments. What type of air filter is on your bike? Quote
