5A state runner up here my soph year of hs 121 lbs or maybe it was 126, (I can't remember I changed weight classes alot since we didn't have many guys on the squad)

my junior year was picked to win it and got rolled off a mat and broke some bones in my foot and didnt get togo to the tourney, didn't even wrestle my senior year since my foot was all jacked up (and the docs told me not to)

Enjoy it while ya can, cause once ya pass 18 and grab someone and throw em down on the floor and cross face em, you get arrested

I wrestled all through middleschool, HS and a year in college. It was a blast, hated cutting the weight though. My sons are very good wrestlers now also. My oldest is a Soph and had a great season last year. He wrestled 135 and went 32-3 on the varsity squad and was 31-6 on varsity as a Frosh. My little guy is in 6th grade and is a maniac. I coached the rec portion of wrestling for 14 years, had a lot of doing it, it was time to hang it up though. Everything really starts to hurt as you hit the big 4-0.

For real the weight cutting is pretty hard but I didn't have to worry cause I wrestled heavyweight (215 and up) but weighed in at 205 most of the time. I just liked being faster than all of those huge fat asses  My wrestling cach kicks ass and has a fast ass banshee with a cheetah 535 stroker blah blah blah :headbang:

I wrestled in HS.. It takes so much damn dedication it's unreal. I hated practice in the morning before school, and then practice after school. I eventually got sick of it and didnt wrestle anymore.

Yep, this was my last year and I wrestled 160. I am a senior now. I started when I was a freshman. I wasnt the greatest, cant remember my record, but I had a lot of fun with it. Its a great sport man. We didnt have many people on the team at our school. I think one of the reasons is because we had morning practice at 6:15-7:20am and practice after school from 3:30-6:00pm. O and I know exactly what its like to wrestle like shit as you were talkin about, too bad you didnt make it to state....

the thing about wrestling that i like was it was your own sport or event. you didnt have a team to blame or rely on. if you got your ass kicked it was cause of you.

not your other team members, you might lose a team dual but thats different

Exactly right and when you kick the other kids ass and hear them whining about how their arm hurts or something thats the greatest. My fastest pin was 17 seconds with a fat ass freshmen that pretty much laid down for me and then he was telling all of his friends he would have kicked my ass if his arm hadn't hurt -_-
