baddboyy21
Changing the front sprocket to a bigger one will give you a higher gear ratio...and make you go faster. You need extra horsepower to pull the higher gears though. Here is a gearing calculator. It will give you a top speed estimate on each gear. http://home.earthlink.net/~gellett/banshee.htm
NEVER SATISFIED
1 tooth in the front= 3 teeth in the rear... if you slap on a 16 tooth you may bog if you dont have the power to pull it. the benefit of a larger tooth will result in less wheel spin and top speed will be faster.. baddboyy21
Most of the people running 16 tooth fronts are ported. I'd say with a stock bike you will have some problems with that large of a front sprocket. The most I'd try is a 15, but I guess it couldn't hurt to try a 16. You will definitely need a bigger chain. NEVER SATISFIED
whats the reason for puttin a 16 tooth in the front.. you tryin to top out.. cuz on a stock shee you gotta be crazy to run a 16 in the front and try and ride around on it like normal.. you will feel lots of bog and you will need to feather the clutch somewhat...
