FMF CDI unit?

Hi, I'm new to this site and this is my first post. I bought my shee last year, pretty much stock w/pro circuit pipes. I was checking out the CDI unit and instead of the stock black box I found a red box with a tag on it that read 1987-2001 banshee andon the handle bars is a switch that says FMF and you can switch between boost and power. Anyone know who makes this and what it is? I've since replaced it with stock CDI and want to sell this unit but I would like to know what I'm selling.
