New banshee owner

I just picked up a 96' Banshee, and I am new to the forums.

 

I have a quick question.

 

The banshee wasnt kicking correctly, so I tore into it , and found it was missing a clip, I also found the idler gear has some play in it.

 

How much play should it have before I replace it?

 

Any help woud greatly be appreciated.

I like to use the Mirco fish at www.bikebandit.com for stock parts.

 

If i remeber right that gear does have some play ( wobble side to side)

it doesn't play a major in the engines normal opertion, so some play should be ok.

Did you lose the c clip that holds it on. was it in the botton of the clutch cover.

if so replace it with a new one. It came off for a reason.
