I just put on my Fatty's from t-5's.I left the jetting the same to see what happens.I'm also breaking in a fresh mortor so I'm not giving her that much,But it will hesitation when I first crack on it through out the gears.I have no problem starting the she.I belive the polit jet is a bit lean...I'm I correct?

correct,turn in your air screws 1/2 turn that will tell the story.

I'm at a half turn out on the air screws now.should i go up a size on the polit jet and see what happens?????

if you're only out 1/2 turn what happens when you go out further? if the hesitation get worse or starts to backfire you need to go richer. if neither help let me know, i have more ideas.

Didn't try that yet.I really can't do much here in the city.I'll be riding this weekend.To be on the safe side I picked up some jets smaller and I all ready have larger jets.I'll put the air screw two turns out and see what happens........Thanks

I see your here in Wisconsin, right now with the weather the way that it has been, your gonna have fun with your jetting. I'm trying to wait out the changing temps to do serious jetting myself. Who did your motor work?

PSI did the port work years back.There up in Wild Rose WI...I did the top end myself....

I'm still having the hesitation problem.I had 50's in and went to 52's.I rev'ed it and it had a slight bog.I didn't even ride it.I put 48's in and didn't see much of a difference.The idle did not change.I have a tach,so if I hold it at 2000 crack it.It goes like hell.

 

I didn't notice this with the T-5's.There's no power down low,but with the fatty's it's very noticeable.Could this just be the nature of the porting?I tied adjusting the air screws,but no matter what when you rev it in nutrual off idle it will hesitat.if ya hold it about 2000 RPM's it's just fine!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm. I would say needle. But anyway. I run same mod's just different porting and I got a 48pilot(going to try a 45) needle in middle and 175 main's. Only got a slight rich condistion right off idle. DIfferent boat's for different floats!
